Did they replace the sensor glass cover with a plastic blank after '22?

I recall hearing Rivian saying they disabled the camera, but nothing beyond that.

There is physically no interior camera in the later builds. There's a bump but it's opaque plastic.

Yes newer models don't have the "black glass" cutout on the plastic trim near the front map lights.

Oddly, my 2024 Mar build R1S (gen 1, so maybe one of the last gen 1's?) has the old trim with the camera cutout. Probably just grabbed it from the parts bin and slapped it on without realizing it.

Only the adaptive headlight features from this update are Gen 2 specific.

I doubt I'll be able to convince you, but I can tell you it worked well on my Tesla using an Android. When I thought I heard something near my car I could open the app and take a look, or just take a look periodically.
