After all of the complaints people have about tire places, we FINALLY have proof that Costco used pucks!

I just pity the next Rivian to go there as they have to lift it using only 3 pucks...The manager will probably do something to thank you when you return it to them, even if it's just one of their famous $1.50 hot dogs and a drink.

They did send me home short one lug nut though. The threads of the lug nut are damaged and they couldn't put it back on safely. Last person to take the front wheels off was Rivian service...

At least you know they actually use pucks. Took mine to Discount Tire and they said they have pucks but they neither had the right ones nor used them when they jacked my truck up. They simply lifted it up on the plastic body panels and damaged all of them.

Oh man, I would have not let that happened knowing these vehicles need the pucks. Would have walked out there and watched them put the pucks on or no go....especially since most of the kids working there have no clue!

It never ends......it's silly we had to produce a high visibility emblem, so these mistakes will be minimized....

Got new defenders on our R1S Saturday at Costco and they used pucks and did a great job...

... They didn't give me a free puck though

It's like the Executive membership is meaningless....

Considering EVs are heavier and eat tires more than ICE, you would think they would #1 -- love EVs and #2, make sure not to damage them.

One of the reasons I left the plastic panel off when I installed my running boards.

Turns out...they gave me 4 free pucks. They were really appreciative that I brought them back, seemed really surprised that I did. No free hot dog though. Maybe I should have just kept them for myself.

I walked up to my Model 3 last year a restaurant. I approached from the passenger's side a little further away than normal and saw something odd behind the front right wheel. It was the jack puck from the tire rotation that I had done 2 months earlier. I'm not quite sure how it was able to stick there for 3,000-4,000 miles held on but a friction fit of an o-ring.

They don't always stay stuck there though. I'm down to 2 pucks from my original set of 4. When I finish up with the tire rotation, I want to get on with my day!

got tires at costco about 4 months ago, which was 1-2 months after corporate had every single tire shop order pucks (from memory I could have the timing off)
