I set my charging schedule in the app to start at 12:00am until 6am and today it started charging at 10:00am. Not sure why it did that? Any ideas?

It's location dependent. Did you check the location you have specified for your scheduled charging? Also, if your battery state of charge is higher than your charge limit, it's not going to charge regardless.

I had this issue, you need to set the schedule at the location you want to have it. There is no way to specify a location other then by setting the schedule at that location. Although I was also told that is changing when I discussed it with the local service center.

Same problem as OP.
Schedule is set for 11pm to 6am, and it has my location as my home (and the little pin marker is within the circle.
I plugged the car in and it is currently charging

Thanks all for the heads up. I would’ve never thought that was necessary. In fact I never even looked at that little map. I just assumed that it would do the schedule according to what the app specified using the location where the car physically is. I did change it and I’ll see what happens.

To add a solution:
I had setup the charging schedule at home, and as noted in my post above, the little pin was clearly over my house and the surrounding area.

I clicked on the little map, dragged the pin away, then back over my house. I hit 'save' and now the charging program works.

Yeah, I never looked at that. I guess I assumed that the app knew where the car was it would just follow the schedule. If you click on vehicle location icon it shows correctly. But the charging map showed a different location. Not sure why it doesn’t use the icon location.

Yeah, it does know where the car is. But where were was the car when you SET the schedule? And if you were home, did you have GPS reception at the time or is your reception blocked in the garage where you park?

The main use case for a charging schedule is because you have time-of-use rates at home. This means scheduled charging pretty much HAS to be location dependent, because if it wasn't then you would never start charging anywhere in the world when you plugged in, unless you just happened to plug in during the scheduled hours.

How many support requests would THAT generate? People complaining about their Rivian not charging at their hotel, at their friend's house, at a Tesla charger, etc.

Honestly, having come from 2 Tesla's I don't ever remember having to do this. Something learned.

I set my location to my home, but every time an update is downloaded, the location changes to some random location about 2 miles away. I have talked with Rivian several times, and have done a soft and hard reset. It still changes my home location. They have not been able to resolve the issue. So I must remember to change it manually after each update for the charge schedule to work. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

To clarify. I set my charging location while the vehicle was in the garage to where I am but it moved twice now. It needs to be outside, where I get GPS reception and then it stays even though the app had GPS

Completely clear out the "home" location & delete the charging schedule you have set up. Start over from scratch. Also, do this in the vehicle so it's awake and GPS has a lock on it.

It's curious that GPS doesn't pick up your vehicle in your garage... GPS signals should be able to penetrate a standard residential roof...

Not sure I follow the "completely clear out home location" instruction. (don't see how to do that). I think GPS was working in the Garage, but a previous reply in this thread recommended trying outside.
