Not sure I like how they displayed the other DCFC stations. They have one listed in Sheridan, WY and that's a 1 plug 50kW charger at a Jeep dealership (that I think is not accessible when the dealership is closed). I don't consider 50kW a "fast" charger. Who knows how many others there are on that map.

Can someone please inform Rivian that Boulder is not in northern CO?
Seriously. I'd rather see Rivian put a RAN station in Sterling or Julesburg than Boulder. The I76 corridor is a royal PITA to tow through right now with just a crappy EA site in Ft Morgan.

100% agree. I-76 sucks even without towing. Telsa is supposed to put a supercharger in Sterling but it's not even under construction yet.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Having charging in Utah is awesome - but please get one in Escalante, Hite, and while I'm making wish lists ... Fry Canyon.

Also - the highway 50 corridor desperately needs something reliable and more than 50kW.

Sterling would certainly make sense, or selfishly in the parking lot of the new Loveland REI on 34 for all the folks headed to RMNP…. And occasionally me when I need to fast charge :p

Fort Collins would be cool too, although it’s not that far from the RAN in Cheyenne so I doubt that will happen.

The Bucees in Johnstown has a SC, but I would prefer to not put a penny in ’you know who’s’ pocket if at all possible.

Need better coverage in WY, ND and SD. Also need something close to Glacier NP.

Lots to see and nowhere to charge fast....

Agreed! We are driving from Denver to Saskatoon this weekend and it might require some less than ideal routing, and some camping at campsites with power.

Excited for Walsenburg though, as the EA in Trinidad is always a roll of the dice. 🙂

Oh yeah - that is a great spot for chargers. The Idaho Springs location is also good news.

For the first time last weekend I experienced some of the EA troubles I have read others go through. 2/4 chargers in Castle Rock were out of order and there was a line for the remaining 2. Luckily there was an EVGo station a couple miles away in a Whole Foods parking lot that was empty and working great (and fast). First time charging with EVGo.

Still nothing in da yoop. I begrudgingly used the Tesla stations in Marquette on our trip up to Copper Harbor.

Kansas City really needs more fast chargers. They're severely lacking south I-435.

Absent my glorious Teslas themselves somehow grabbing the DCFC cable itself and plugging it into the port, I respectfully submit that nothing, nothing out there makes charging an EV easier than Tesla. Tesla wrote the book. RAN may make it just as easy, but RAN is late to the EV party.
On that subject, do you remember when Elon said they'd have a Tesla drive cross country completely on its own. And how it would be possible without any human help because they'd have an octopus tentacle robotic snake arm plug on the super chargers to automatically plug in as soon as the car pulled up?

LOL. Yeah, right. It would not surprise me that he said it, but I never have paid much attentin to his words or actions. Or beliefs.

Unfortunately, ho-hum for me. Thanks but no thanks, RAN. Will continue to stick to the unbeatable Tesla network only.
Just for kicks, checked a couple of chargers that I might use.
Tesla Boardman OR, $0.45/kWh; RAN The Dalles, OR $0.49
Tesla Lincoln City, OR, $0.54; RAN Aberdeen OR, $0.57
Tesla St. Regis, MT, $0.49; RAN St. Regis, MT..TBD? Not holding my breath

And Tesla charger costs do not include the membership fee for even lower prices.
Still a no-brainer PASS on RAN for me.
The latest OTA notes mentioned that there will be off-peak pricing at RANs, so I am very much looking forward to that.

The build out is great, but they have to do something about the cost! I'll charge at any Tesla charger over RAN, just because of cost.

I have found a few Tesla chargers with tiered pricing depending on time of day. That will help with RAN, but I just choose to charge whenever I need to and don't care to plan my trips according to what time I hit the chargers for a lower price.

Imo, botom line RAN needs to knock it off and sell electricity at Regular unleaded prices instead of Premium unleaded pricing. For if Teslas pay largely lower prices for juice at Tesla chargers, so should Rivians at RAN.
