That's not say I don't loathe bad implementations when companies try to digitize a workload that's best suited for analog...changing the vent direction in the rivian is classic case of this. How are they gonna voice command that ?

"Hey Rivian, less air on my crotch, more on my face please" ??

Does Rivian Assistant default to whichever media app is currently playing? Example, I'm using Tidal, and I tell it to play Type O Negative - October Rust, will it stay in Tidal, or default to Apple Music or others?

It'll default to whatever music app is currently selected, you can also say "Hey Rivian, switch over to Apple Music and play music by AJR" and it'll switch over and play music from that artist.

That's kind of a thing. Although I had to turn to AI for it. I couldn't remember which of my crappy old trucks had this feature.

I also remember one that had like a slide-lever, that would open a vent (to the outside?) which would blow air directly at your crotch.

I guess someone at GM thinks truck drivers have smelly nethers? Maybe we need to bring this back for today's drivers.

You cannot since Amazon Music is not a native Rivian app. And you can only have one assistant enabled by default.

Finally got the road name back! The omission of that since the switch to google has been a minor annoyance that's nice to see resolved.
