Interesting indeed. Is it a Dual battery or a Single one?
How often do you L2 charge at home? Daily? Weekly?
Single battery, and I plug mine in weekly.

Sounds about right. I would plug-in a Single battery R1 more often so the 12V is kept healthier. When you monitor the sleep cycles on Single battery, you'll see that the first day after a charge the sleep cycles are longer and after day 1 they get increasingly shorter sleep/wake cycles.

Dual batteries do the same but cycles are way longer.

I would suggest as a good practice to set your charge limit to 70% and plug-in daily if possible (maybe every other day) and monitor sleep/wake cycles. They should be longer denoting a healthier 12V battery.

That's VERY good. Was it parking with Gear Guard On or Off?

I normally see the behavior you describe when the truck is parked with Shipping mode. In my case, it woke up ever 26 hrs in average.
I have GG turned off. Everything else is normal.

I got out of the truck, walked away, and heard the hoot as it locked itself. After seven days it sensed me returning as I walked up to the truck, gave me the welcome lights, automatically unlocking just like always does. (I did wonder if it would fail to wake up after being away from me that long.)

Over the period, the HVB lost 3.5% SoC.

I would definitely venture to say that 3.5% drain over 7 days is definitely an outlier :) Maybe a newer Gen2 thing?

That’s an interesting theory, and it probably would help, however where I live chargers are sheared and for me it is not feasible to leave it plugged in every night.

Also is Rivian eating the costs on these 12v batteries or do they have some warranty with the manufacturer?

Don you keep the truck plugged in all the time it is sitting at home? If not, definitely do that. I see you charge daily but if you unplug when charging finishes, it would be better to leave it plugged in I think.

It seems to me your use case is pretty hard on the LVB. I think a ICEV would also struggle to keep the LVB healthy with short drives like that. I would get a tender if I were you.

Don you keep the truck plugged in all the time it is sitting at home? If not, definitely do that. I see you charge daily but if you unplug when charging finishes, it would be better to leave it plugged in I think.

Mine is nearly always plugged in, I’m about to get my fourth set of batteries.

My car is in for service and I have noticed it has been asleep for 20+ hours. Maybe they have found a 12v that keeps this car asleep.

There is a thread here on the forums about using the ODB to connect a battery tender up to 2 or 3A. They report improvements in length of sleeping, just doing that intermittently. That should also improve 12V battery health and life.
Alternatively, you can connect a battery tender directly to the battery, and have the 120V connection for the battery tender inside the frunk. Just don't forget to unplug it.
