Can I enable my Rivian to auto connect to my iPhone AT&T hotspot as it does for my home WiFi?

What part are you stuck on? Just connect to the hotspot from the truck just like you did when you added your home Wi-Fi. It'll connect to it when it loses your home network as you drive away.

I am looking for it to auto connect. Once the phone is out of range , the process has to be repeated

It is my understanding that the feature to connect to Wifi outside of your home/while parked was recently added. If you wanted to connect to your mobile hotspot, you'd have to do it manually after you left your house.

This could be the remnants of that configuration. Based on my experience, the vehicle won't connect to another Wifi signal automatically once you start driving.

This should not be the case. I use it every day and never need to interact with it or change anything once the initial setup was done.

It worked for me, but after a few weeks, it kept draining my phone battery so bad. I jut paid the $149.99 fee! lol

Your Rivian knows nothing about what device is providing the WiFi network - it will auto-connect to whatever WiFi network is present and configured.

It's probably your *phone* that turns the phone hotspot off if there are no devices using it. If your phone hotspot is off, then of course your Rivian can't find it ...

What OS version? My phone on iOS 18.2 has been reconnecting without an issue. I have several devices that use it as a data connection and they all work fine. I've also tested an 18.0 phone.

What problem will be worse? Can you elaborate?
I said "may" not "will," and cycling it off and on may make the connection actually less stable. Mine is always on, and the car connects seamlessly (along with other devices).
