Has anyone seen any other info for the V2H that Rivian said would be out this year? Also if you have seen anything regarding it, is Rivian making a new adapter/charger/unit to make it work???

I tried to find the old thread on this issue. I recall that Rivian was working on a charger but, not sure of the timing. Given the recent mega storms; the sooner the better.

Given the the number of EVs and the size of the batteries, it is insane to not have access to all the power sitting and ready to serve in an emergency. This is the stuff Governments should be looking into worldwide.

I believe this has to be mandatory soon.

When they are damn well ready. You do know they are trying to launch a whole new car and all things related to its production? As well as staying solvent enough to keep producing, servicing and selling existing production? Prioritization. Something everyone and every business does.

Bidirectional MAY be mandatory. That would be great, we would be able to charge each other's EVs and feed back into the grid.

No, that would be horrible. I don't want to be forced to do something against my will. I don't want the battery I purchased to move my truck to be used to power the grid.

I may voluntarily choose to do it if the financial incentive accounts for the depreciation that will occur due to wearing out my battery earlier, and especially if it is higher than the expected depreciation impact. But I will decide what is best for me and my family and I will be extremely angry if they make it mandatory.

For society to function it requires regulation. These batteries are bulletproof, it's FUD that says otherwise.

Apparently Lucid can already do V2V charging. Someone sent me a link to their product a few days ago. Would be nice if Rivian could do the same thing. Heck, maybe even use the same adapter, LOL. ?

They'll all have this eventually. It's about where to prioritize development and keep prices down. As battery prices drop, they'll work this technology down into vehicles.

Mandating that my vehicle's battery supply the grid is not necessary for society to function.

I will refuse to do it unless I am compensated more than what it costs me to provide it.
