Rear seat belt pre-tensioner would rattle loudly in certain conditions. SC found it easily and replaced it. They said that there is an explosive charge and they wouldn't try to fix it. So replacement it is.

Appreciate the honesty. When i read owners say it’s one of the quietest vehicles they’ve ever owned it boggles my mind. I’ve driven 3 Rivians. My own, a loaner T and a loaner S (all 2023 builds), all of them noisy, wind/ suspension/ various rattles. This thing is more truck than luxury, and that’s fine, but current owners need to be honest as future owners read these threads.. all that said I still enjoy the ride, just wish it had a better sound system (my Meridian, while better than the Rivian system, is disappointing)Yup. One my third Rivians, 2022R1T, 2023 R1T, and a 2023 R1S. Lots of annoying squeaks, rattles and wind noise. My 2022 R1T probably has the most cacophonous suspension melodey ever produced by an air suspension. So much so that I chuck it after less than a year of ownership but darn it, I love Rivian so much, ended up buying 2 more. These examples are better built but still has squeaks, rattles and the mandatory body panels misalignment. Call me neo-masochist

Same. If I pull the top corner of the driver's door more snug to the b-pillar, it gets much quieter. Anyone have a good fix for this?I am getting an intermittent wind noise from both front doors on the highway when traveling at ~75 mph especially when there is a strong cross wind. It seems as though the door is either not tightly closing or there is a misaligned door seal. If I squeeze the door shut from the door frame at either the A or B Pillar, the wind noise goes away.
Might be worthwhile to go through the NHTSA's list of Manufacturer Communications to see if Rivian is offering fixes for known issues. Link below as an example.Check the B pillar speakers. If you tap on them, they sound like there is a plastic ball inside that rattles around on rougher roads. I don’t know the fix yet, but your issue sounds like that could be the culprit!
I’ll be honest. I also want to start off with I love my R1S.Appreciate the honesty. When i read owners say it’s one of the quietest vehicles they’ve ever owned it boggles my mind. For reference most previous vehicles have been Lexus, but currently own a Model Y and until recently a Volvo C40 recharge also both electric and much quieter overall and better audio systems.
Common issues. I had it. Fixed by SC with felt.My flashlight rattled - I cut a strip of adhesive-backed hook/loop (soft half) and wrapped it and the flashlight to cushion it.
Other than that, I have 2 dash rattles that drive be bonkers.
One is the wood trim by the driver's vent. It's subtle and sporadic, but I'm not about to try and pry it apart to fix.
The other is the giant dash grill piece along the windshield. I know people have removed it and cushioned it, but I can't figure out how to get it off for the life of me, even after seeing the photos posted here. Breaking fasteners is my curse.
Are you sure it's the triangle windows? Isolating the issue, at least to a degree, is straight forward. Fixing is another thing entirely. Can someone please help me fix terrible wind noise coming from the two front triangle windows? I've taken it to the shop 3 times and they tried to fix it the first time and the other two times they said it was normal and wouldn't do anything.
It is so bad at high speeds that I can't use my Rivian audio on phone calls.
I've tried putting all sorts of foam tape on the inside, but to no avail.
The problem seems to be coming from where the small triangle window and the main up/down window connect.
I asked then to fix both...the SC said they put something in, but they either forgot or put it in the wrong place.Common issues. I had it. Fixed by SC with felt.

Wonder where this noise was coming from...Thanks!I was getting a lot of rough road noise around my center dash area. At first I put a thicker rubber piece behind the screen to get some separation of the screen from the dash. The ultimate fix was put an additional piece of felt in between the top of the screen and the dash to get some separation. No more center dash noise.![]()
Of course the BMW would never go off road, but never will IThis one? At 4:35.The other is the giant dash grill piece along the windshield.
