Has anyone experienced a grinding or vibrating noise when accelerating on the R1 T dual motor? This happens on a rolling start, and then accelerating rapidly.

Rivian R1T R1S Dual motor R1T vibrate/grind on acceleration. Rivian Towing Daytona

I have a grinding or vibrating noise under 10mph, when accelerating or decelerating. It's much worse when towing a trailer, but started 1-2 months before I purchased the trailer. It is unchanged when in Conserve mode (front motors only).

Did you ever find out what it was?

hub bolt?
Could be. It's very subtle and steady, though - the kind of rapid vibration you would get if you roll a toothed gear across a flat surface.

I heard nothing back. Still does it in rapid acceleration.

I think I know what you're talking about. It started after a tire rotation. How about you?

i have a service next month for the clutch that disconnects the rear motor. A triple grind from the rear on going from acceleration to maintaining speed after a turn.

I don't think mine started as a result of tire rotation.

A lot of things it could be. Some are brakes, axle, wheel bearing, drive unit. I recommend submitting a service request right away to get an appointment on the books.

I have seen grinding sounds be something as simple as a rock stuck in the dust shield for the brake rotor.

I did make an appointment. It goes in Tuesday 1/21. I just need to convince service there is a problem.
