By the published specs the Theia looks like a game changer - but it has been in s00n mode for a couple of years now with no availability in sight. I waited over 3 years for the R1T - not going to wait that long for the Theia...
That it has. Who knows when we'll ever see it. I hate moving detectors around, so I still have an ancient Beltronics STi Magnum in the one I drive the least and a Uniden R3 in the daily driver.

I do not have a lot of miles on yet after 2 days of ownership, but I did my first DC charge this afternoon (Electrify America) on one of 6 350 kWh chargers at their Cadillac, MI location. I was the only vehicle charging. I drove about 60 miles to get there at highway speeds (60-80 mph) in moderate rain, 37 degrees, so the truck was not cold. I opened an account with EA yesterday, and charge session started within 60 seconds of plugging in and tapping my iPhone on their reader. First impression of EA is good!

The R1T started the charging session at 39% SOC. Charge rate began at 166 kWh.
I went into Meijers for about 45 minutes so could not monitor charge rate, but here are some points:
SOC 39% - 80% : 28 minutes (based on text notification)
SOC 39% - 91% : 46 min. At 91% charge rate observed at 41 kWh
SOC 39% - 100% : 1 hr 18 min.

In Normal mode at 100% SOC the truck indicated it had a range of 286 miles. Changing to Conserve mode bumped that up to 310.

I was not tracking my range/efficiency for the drive to the charging station, but I noticed shortly before I arrived at EA that the 15 min avg efficiency number was hovering around 2 mile/kW while running 60-80 mph. I was in Normal mode, low suspension setting, cabin heat at 70, headlights and fog lights on, radio on, radar detector on.

For the drive home I selected Conserve Mode. The road was still wet (light rain & 36 degrees, minimal wind) and was in a slightly hilly area with cruise control set for 60. After about 20 minutes I checked the 15 min avg efficiency number and saw it was up to 2.52 mile/kW. The last part of the drive I lowered the cruise to 55 mph and saw the 15 min avg number go up to 2.82. The road for this last section was flat. Way too early to know how accurate that number is, but it does give some idea of how Conserve mode and lower speeds impact range. I'm very curious to see how other do with range.

My Wall charger was delivered yesterday and I am waiting for an electrician to install it, so I am limited to public charging options. I tried the portable charger at 120v and had a charge rate of about 1.5 mile/hr. :-(
What's the 90% charge range? I know that charging an EV to 100% isn't the best thing to do, although I don't know all of Rivian's take on it all. The 90% is usually a threshold that allows maximum regen as well (coming from a Tesla).

I don't plan on taking it to 100% again except for a rare occasion, but I wanted to get a baseline for the extra time from 80 to 100%. I did not look at the range at 90%, but it currently is at 87% and the range (in Conserve) is showing 267 miles.

I've been using the R3 for a while - it's been pretty good except for all the false reading from blind spot warning systems. Figured with a new truck it was time for an upgrade of the detector also.

Does the app show current charge level? I use that all the time on the Tesla app to see if I need to plug in or not when my wife gets home.

I'm very happy with the FG. It is a relatively unique color on trucks.

22 bright

You know what they say about assumptions... :)
I move my Uniden back and forth between 3 vehicles so the suction cup/coiled cord option is quick, easy, and has worked pretty well so far. Quick and dirty - suction cup mount low on the windshield in the center allows the coiled travel cord to easily sit between the displays and plug into the 12v outlet below the dash. I'll be getting a new one soon - been waiting for the Theia to become available, but now that I have the truck I just may order a V1.
Since my first detector, the original Escort, I have had many mounted in just about every way possible. Once warmer weather arrives and the initial novelty of driving the R1T wears off a bit I will take the time to mount/wire one in better.
How’s the ride with the 22’s? I keep flip flopping between the 20’s & 22’s. I’m still thinking stick with the 20’s and maybe next set go to a 275/60/20.

I am looking forward to a battery range review when going on a 100 mile Overlanding adventure. My favorite trail is around 130 miles and I would be a bit nervous with the 280 mile battery range with the optional 20” wheels.

yes - shows current vehicle temp, SOC, and range.

On broken pavement it's a bit loud and harsh. Smooth pavement is very quiet and comfortable - very low tire noise.

And then John get 196kw at 47% and 120kw at 70%. Which is more what I'd expect. You haven't been able to replicate this, right @OutofSpecKyle ?

Max Pack!
Exactly. I'm thinking that for most of the time I won't be needing the absolute maximum range so hopefully the charging dynamics might be better for around the 80% mark with the MaxPack which will be around the same amount as a full charge of regular pack - 320 miles.
