I can’t stop looking at all vehicles now with a critical eye. Honestly thinking about going back to a beater at this point. Life was easier then.

Amen, Brother. Hoping to get my 2000 Disco back when my buddy transfers units.I can’t stop looking at all vehicles now with a critical eye. Honestly thinking about going back to a beater at this point. Life was easier then.
I fully agree. The average car buyer would not have noticed these slight body panel misalignment issues.I really don't think any of those are bad to be perfectly honest. I've seen some on here that I wouldn't accept, but my truck has a few of those minor misalignments and it doesn't bother me in the least bit. This isn't a Rolls Royce.
My door sticker just shows month and yearYes, I am very pleased with the work performed.
Funny, it wasn’t assembled on a Monday or Friday. Door sticker shows it was assembled on a Saturday. No rattles, squeaks or wind noise either.
Im with you on the spice drawer. That has more to do with loving to cook and it being really annoying when I’m looking for a spice but cannot find it.I fully agree. The average car buyer would not have noticed these slight body panel misalignment issues.
Yes, all of the cans in our kitchen cabinet must be facing label side out. The spice drawer is in alphabetical order. I could go on and on. It’s a sickness
Wow, I think I'm going to be sickYes, I am a bit anal retentive. The first thing I notice on a new vehicle is body panel alignment. Are the panel gaps tight and even? Are body panels flush with each other? Are body panels aligned, etc. I consider Porsche and Audi the top two companies to have near perfect body panel fitment.
Upon delivery last month my worst fears were realized. Out of 11 panels that are hung on the R1T my entire drivers side was wonky. Hood/fender corner, charging door, front door, rear door and Gear Tunnel panels were slightly misaligned at the assembly plant.
When I pointed out these issues to my delivery person he agreed they were “not to spec” and said no problem. The SC tech’s would align every panel and we filled out a service ticket on the spot.
I am happy to report that my local Rivian SC technicians loosened and re-aligned all of the body panels to my satisfaction. My anal retentive side is now happy Why isn‘t QC factory QC picking up on this before vehicles leave the factory?
Here are some BEFORE and AFTER photos…
I'm not a fan of the pointless red circles that people use to point out the obvious, but I may need some help in seeing the problem hereHow's this for your OCD?!
Absolutely you need a snaggle tooth free zoneI'm very happy with all of my panel gaps except one. Going into service next Friday- do you think I should create a ticket for this as well?
It's like its got a snaggle tooth or something.
Ya I don’t have a service ticket for it. It’s just funny how big they are. Maybe because I look at it everyday it’s more noticeable for me.The FG one gets an OK by me. The RB one needs a service ticket.
