I checked mine within a day of receiving my truck after all the posts about this in the forum and found several that were loose. Have only checked once or twice since then. Reminds me I should probably do that again soon. ?

happened on my early VIN 22 R1S. Mobile service to the rescue (just make sure they bring enough of the correct gauge).

While you are checking take out each bolt one at a time, apply blue loctite, tighten, and put a line on the bolt and panel with a paint marker. This makes inspecting easy because you can see if the bolt has rotated. It is a good idea to inspect after off roading and once a month.

Any worries concerning your this slight exposure of the undercarriage? Displaced slightly on one side.

I have a collection of them from my driveway. Unfortunately one of the first ones to come off went straight through the tread of my tire...

Found a few missing during my mobile service a few months ago. I think 2-3 today. Guess we all may have a few screws loose.

Mine were all there before a recent service visit that required the lower panel to be removed. Now post service 4 are missing. ? Wonder how many happened to disappear on the tech's tool cart?

More likely due to use of power tool instead of hand torque and no loctite.

Both our R1T with underbody shield and our R1S without it had loose bolts. The R1S had one sticking most of the way out because it was cross threaded so I had to fix it.

I found multiple bolts missing on my undercarriage while putting on my hitch cover. I set up an appointment to have them replaced and fixed and found the warranty does not cover it. I don't understand how bolts not properly tightened or secured (lock tite) would be the owner's issue with a truck over a year old with 16500 miles. The mobile estimate is $140 ($40 for bolts and $100 for service). Needless to say, I canceled the appointment and will find matching bolts and do it myself for a fraction of the price. I expected this to be covered when paying $100k for a truck., but I was wrong!

Common. Under-torqued from factory. And probably no Loctite, as someone else mentioned. I knew this was an issue 18 months ago when I got my vehicle. Sliding underneath it and tightening every single one I found was one of the first things I did after taking delivery. Which reminds me, I should probably do that again soon. ?
