Hello my dudes!
Today, we're finally, officially announcing the OpenSource EV Parts NextGen Aux Cupholders for the Rivian R1S and R1T.
The OpenSourceEV Parts NextGene Aux Cupholders are the easiest way to add additional places for your drinks in your Rivian. This completely new version remains unobtrusive and easy to install, and they are now completely toolless to put together.
All NextGen Aux Cup Holder are two pieces - a mounting hanger that hangs on the vehicle and a cup that clips onto the hanger. The NextGen Cupholder is available in five different hangers and two different cup sizes.
The standard size cup holder is 79MM wide at the top, 71MM wide at the bottom, and 89MM tall. This size is designed to hold most common drink sizes such as cans, 20oz plastic bottles, most fast-food drinks, and 20ish oz vacuum insulated cups.
The large size cupholder is 92MM wide all the way through, and 102MM tall. This size is designed for common 40z water bottles and mugs -- similar in size to our Cup Holder Extension.
One of the big things with this cupholder is the complete overhaul of the mounts. There are now five different mounting locations for the setup. They include:
You can also buy additional mounts or additional cups for $6.95 or $9.95 separately. Additional bits are available here: https://opensourceev.com/search?q=nextgen+cup
This product is a very slightly updated version of the Rivian Cup Holder Clips, made by Todd Stansell. Sold by permission of the author. You can download the design here.

- Door Pockets - Complete new, these work on both the front doors and now the REAR doors of the R1S as long as the rear set is slid to it's rear-most position.
- Front Door (High) - This is shown in the first picture here and installs into a small gap with weather stripping, separate from where the window is, and does not affect its use. It rests on the vegan leather and does not contact the wood.
- Rear Door (High) - The rear door bracket is similar to the front door model, but it's longer to account for the deeper sill of the rear doors. It installs in the same channel and does not contact the wood.
- Rear (R1T) - This installs over the front of the under-seat storage of the R1T. You fold up the driver's side and slide it over the front to install in place.
- Center Console (Passenger) -A newer, more stable center console setup. This wedges itself between the trim pieces on the storage area in front of the center console. (you'll need to be careful with moving the passenger seat with this one)
