Allright, I did a quick sweep on this thread and made a list...
Am I wrong to see that all vehicles affected are GEN1 vehicles? Is anybody's a Gen2?

25 individuals affected (so far) in this forum, I'll sweep Facebook in a little bit (I made a post over there to gather names/locations)
Not a module swap for me. Somehow support was able to fix the issue without any action on my end. I did request/suggest a remote diagnostic when I opened the service ticket, so I suspect my issue was escalated to someone on the engineering team? Dunno.

I’m really glad to hear that they’re pushing out a global fix for this. I was starting to feel bad that my ticket was resolved so quickly while others were still having the same problem days later. May everyone’s 12V battery remain happy and healthy forever!

That's unfortunate. Do you happen to know what the warranty is on replacements? I'm guessing 12 mos. / 12k miles? I don't think it's legal to sell them with no warranty at all?

As someone said on a totally unrelated topic recently, maybe we should purchase them with a CC that gives purchase protection? #shrug
I think if the 12v battery or any components are replaced under a comprehensive warranty or other, they would just carry that original warranty term to completion. So if i got suspension components replaced via the comprehensive warranty at 59,000 miles, they would technically only carry a warranty for the remaining 1000 miles.

I think someone mentioned replaced components outside of warranty carry a warranty of 2 years, not sure the mileage limitation though, but I would guess 24,000kms?

SC just called, blinking will be fixed OTA. They had no idea about tonneau cover so I ran out and checked and mine is still stuck. Wanted to cancel my appointments regardless (1 for blinking, 1 for tonneau. hadn't combined yet) since tonneau parts arent available until mid-august. No recommendations and wont let me even just stop by, just a wait and see if the OTA update also fixes that.

Mine is still stuck open and not sleeping. But flashing has stopped.
They did just call again, we tried soft reset, hard reset, recalibrating the cover (2 short press 1 long and the other 4 short 1 long). Neither did anything. Console is showing cover is closed but its wide open. SC appointment confirmed for 8/4, might be a sensor issue

Suspicious because we all had this issue with the flashing lights. I'm hoping the firmware update will fix it. I wonder if they just fixed the cloud updating issue on their end to stop the flashing.

I literally spoke 2 minutes too soon. Just got in my truck, message on dash "tonneau needs reset" clicked ok and magically closed. Follow steps above

Resolved here. Wish there was more transparency on Rivian's part to say hey we see the problem and we're sending a fix with confirmation. SC has still been radio silent. Went ahead and cancelled my appointment, still without any follow up from service. Glad it's fixed. Should have been handled better on a customer service level!

I just got the main new update as well. Probably just a coincidence.
I've been wondering that. Aside from one person in the thread, I have a feeling that the vehicles were reporting various error states (or not talking to the cloud server correctly) that were blocking it from most. Just a hunch. 🤷

Edit: I feel like we nailed it as a forum. And the various social media posts. If we hadn't all been making so much noise, how much longer would it have gone on? If not for sites like this I think a lot of us would just be assuming it was a "me problem". Not a system problem.

Edit 2: There were hundreds of vehicles listed as "Idling" on ElectraFi. And the comment from the person who saw them blinking all over the grocery store parking lot. How many owners probably wound up getting this resolved before they even realized there was an issue? 🤷

Can't agree more with you. Like I posted, I immediately realized there was an issue that warranted an urgent call, but after I squared that down was when I decided to search here and the rest is history.

Good collective thinking, and I'm sure this was helpful

My service center sent a message saying they were aware and an OTA was coming in the next 48 hours. Mine was fixed by noon today.
