I called the DT in Panama City, Florida and spoke to the manager. He told me that they were all set up to do Rivian tire rotations and balance. They have the jack pucks and the torque values for the lug nuts. We are not quite ready yet but plan to go there when it's time.

Can attest to a good DT tire rotation experience at the Bloomington MN location. Scheduled my appointment ahead of time online, and they saw me pull up early and came out to squeeze me in early. Assured me they had the pucks, and got me out of there fairly quickly. Free rotation.
This is super helpful. I’m smack between the EP and Bloomington locations. I think I’ll head to the Bloomington shop when I need a rotation.

I won't revile you with my rotation experience at DT in western Colorado. But the insurance company they use is excellent. Contacted me asking what the cost for repairs before I was able to get into the Austin Rivian Service Center. Once I sent them the invoice from Rivian, the check for $862.20 for replacing the underbody panels was in my hands within days. I would love to be reimbursed for the hours spent driving to, and 2 weeks waiting for the repairs... I HATE driving any truck that is not an R1T, they all suck. Luckily the truck rental was covered by Rivian due to the warranty replacement of the compressor, and wind noise elimination.

My local Discount Tire did a good job with rotation. They had their own pucks.

My DT in Prairieville, Lá balanced my tires using the pucks to lift the vehicle, balancing alleviated a small shake at highway speeds. All covers reinstalled. Happy with their work. I would use them again for rotation, balancing and new tire replacement. Only wish is that they could perform alignment. About 20 min in and out.

I'm going to DT for Rotation/Balance on another vehicle and will ask them about Rivian, feels like a great partnership as I've been going to this DT for a decade with all my vehicles. Good people.

Just thought everyone in this thread would find it interesting to compare DT to rivian mobile service. Rivian is for sure losing money on mobile rotations.

Balancing the car on opposite corners… ?

I had a good experience there, as well. Just be sure you take your key fob... they don't know what to do with a key card.

Stupid question, but is there a consensus / best practice on how frequently we should do balances on an R1 (running the factory 20" A/Ts)?

I'm taking my R1S this weekend to DT the first rotation (I've been delinquent and at 7,600 miles which I know isn't great but is what it is) & plan to get on a better schedule that's every ~5,000 miles moving forward.

Does it make sense to go ahead and have them rotate them now, or wait until next rotation (which will be around 12k miles)?

I'm leaning towards just having them do it now since I don't really see any harm, but just wanted to make sure I wasn't having them do it for no real benefit (would add the truck still drives extremely straight currently & no unusual vibration or noises to date).

Was searching for recommendations on rotation, my first is coming up.

Couldn’t remember why the name Discount Tire was getting in my head and then it dawned on me the owner was a big Joe Arpio supporter, even had signs in the store windows. Anyway lived in Arizona years ago and had forgotten about them, but certainly not the Sheriff.

Don’t mean to bring up politics but this business sure did first. We switched to Big-O
