Agent C said Agent B said Agent A said that a text Agent A got from the service manager said that the service tech said “Your truck is almost ready purplemonkeydishwasher.”
the more im hearing about the experiences owners are having with service centers, the more i realize they just dont know what they are doing... yet.

no one has experience with an R1T/R1S, no matter how many years of experience they have in vehicle servicing. on top of that its a new vehicle with some design issues/flaws which are slowly starting to reveal itself.

is it any wonder there is little to no communication?

i think half the time (maybe more) they have no idea what the root cause is, let alone what a solution would be. they probably need to call corporate who then has to have engineering and manufacturing look into it and that probably takes days if not weeks to figure out whats wrong and then come up with a fix.

"keep the world adventurous forever", right?

Received an update from the service manger in Atlanta yesterday, he stated there was a shipping /freight method delay for a part which was the cause for my truck being at the SC for over a week. It was a mishap, and it was a Rivian whoops when the part was ordered. The truck will be finished this morning and on a transport this afternoon back to me before I head out on a trip first thing Saturday! Once I have the service ticket details and a full breakdown of work done to resolve the water under the driver carpet issue, I will share. I should have those details later today.

Final update...the work was completed yesterday morning. They arranged transport back to me same day as I am leaving town and they were rockstars and arranged for it to be back prior to.

Here is the invoice details related to the water leak into the cabin floor area...

Case closed. I hope tracking this issue has or will help to provide some valuable information to someone else in the Rivan world. Truck is running great, I'm excited to be able to use the cool down feature again and not worry about pooling excessive moisture in the cabin!

I cant confirm either way. The service manager I was talking to about my truck said it was a faulty component with the HVAC system, he did not elaborate on if it was some or all units.

I had to guess variance, as I have 8k miles on mine and been checking, and no signs of any water under floor mat in mine.

they replaced the whole inside unit on my truck. so far no leaks. took roughly a week to get the part in.

Mine too. replacing the component fix the leak for me

I just pulled up our rubber mats today to clean them and of course they were wet on the bottom. Pretty sure this is happening to us. It hasn’t rained here in Austin in a while and I last washed it a month ago.

After submitting a service ticket, I cleaned the carpet (chemical, steam, chemical, steam, carpet extractor) and now they’re drying with a fan. Sure wish this car had an on/off switch…

I should update this , as my original replacement leaked again. And they recently replaced it again. Not too happy as it happened last year as well.

A musty smell has also developed. My wife drives it and we have all weather mats so neither of us noticed. Service request submitted to Rivian.

Not yet. We still have a service center loaner. Rivian is working with us to resolve the issue. I hope to have an update soon.
