I have had mine in twice for this now. It still isn't fixed. The passenger side front is always much lower no matter the side slope. Measuring from the ground up through the center of the hub to the fender lip it is routinely 1/2" - to 1-3/4" lower. Even though they say it is within the 5mm spec, it should not be this way. If the sensors are bad - change them. If they need calibrated to account for the difference - do so. If no calibration works - change the location of the sensor to compensate for the difference. I am not one to buy into "nothing can be done".

If they don't fix mine when it goes in, I will at least be tempted to modify the length of the sensor rod as appropriate to trick the computer to believe it needs to add air to the right side air springs to elevate correctly.

I've been following this thread and have just started noticing that my suspension is not level, at least not in park or sleep. Seems that any wheel can be a 1/2 inch or so off the measurement of the opposite wheel. Therefore the vehicle is rarely level. My question is what is normal? My ice vehicles are all level,. Why would the Rivian suspension not be? New to air suspensions but this seems strange. Thanks for any input.

Are they level after you get in the seat? Is one suspension always lower?

Mine, same as yours, isn’t level after the suspension lowers after parking…and is very uneven after sitting. What concerns me more, is my Rgt Front (RF) is always lower. Today, I raised the truck to max height, RF is 1.5 inches lower.

Service center is ordering all new RF parts to see if they can identify / fix the issue. I’ll post results.

Not to get over excited, but since the recent software update (2022.27.2) I think this issue is less pronounced. Noticed today while sitting in carpool line that the passenger side wasn’t visibly lower. Just checked in the garage where the truck has been sitting for 5+ hours and it appeared level still. Took a measuring tape and it’s maybe slightly off (less than 1/4”) which is way better than it has been.

Anyone else notice any improvement since the software update?

mine is unchanged. I’m wondering now if my right front doesn’t have a minor leak. Every morning it’s 1 inch from the wheel well. Once the suspension rises, it’s always at least 3/4 lower.

This update was really good, nice to have the AC vents corrected in this summer heat and the drive did feel a bit more comfy.

But my passenger side is still sits lower.

I wasn’t going to post about it yet but mine *seems* to be noticeably improved as well

My truck was perfectly level prior to 2022.27.2 - I did the update tonight and now the passenger side front is 1/2-5/8" higher than the driver side. Not happy. I am wondering if people who were previously level are now experiencing an issue with the passenger front height?

Didn't change anything on my truck. Front passenger side is still about 3/4 of an inch lower. So frustrating. Come on Rivian -- this is unacceptable on an $80K vehicle. At least address that there is an issue (that so many of us have) instead of making us fend for ourselves and deal with reluctant, if not incompetent, service centers over an obvious problem.

To follow-up on my RF suspension being lower. Truck went to SC for a 2nd time. The truck triggered a service code this time, RF suspension leak...it was a code the SC had never seen. At direction from engineering, the SC replaced the RF strut and sensor. Truck is now level…and for the first time, the RF tire was not in the wheel well this morning. The truck’s tendency to pull right…also remedied.

Side note, for everyone’s awareness - SC found a leak from the front drive unit plug. I never saw a leak…garage floor clean. SC replaced the plug and serviced the DU.

It’s weird that it’s always the right front.

I’ve noticed that mine pulls to the right when it’s decided it’s going to sag that side.

Glad to hear you got it fixed!

Sounds like an issue with the strut. Given that reports are for the right side only, likely a QC issue with the strut (assuming the left and right struts aren't the same part number).

If you are willing to share, if you can provide the service order number, it may help others to reference that when they are having it looked at by their SCs.

Sounds like there are many trucks with the same issue. I started to notice the lower right passenger side after the update prior to the latest one. Put in a service request two days ago and have not hear back at all. I suppose with the recall they are slammed. I agree a truck of this price point should not be unlevel at rest. I also now have a slight pull to the right on all roads. Please Rivian, look into this!!!
