My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I’ve been traveling and haven’t been in my truck (or on the Forums) in a minute.

Anyone try out a RAN and confirm we can hit 300kW? It’s showing that max rate in the app now, which is cool.

No chance. It's future capability at best.
I figured as much. Math doesn’t jive with what we’ve been told about the underlying architecture.

As I understand it - there's 1 300 kw cabinet per 2-3 posts (station dependent. Broomfield has 3 posts/cabinet, Salida has 2 posts/cabinet). Technically - it may be possible for a vehicle to pull all 300 kw at one post, but - it would have to be a non-Rivian. Rivian maxes out at ~220kw (400v+ @ 500 amps) . But the dispenser itself is rated to 920 volts, so technically - a lucid or hyundai/kia for example could pull 300 kw if/when RAN starts allowing third parties.

edited to include pic w/920 volt dispenser info

As of 6 days ago, no. I maxed out at 214 kW starting at about 18% SOC.

Yes, if your Rivian has 800V charging.

300kw also means that each vehicle can get more power when two or three are charging from the same power cabinet. (2x150kw or 3X100kw).

Are they charging now?. I know they announced it around Halloween. I charged in Manteca at the RAN station on the 5th and it was free.

How much did they charge per kW?

Manteca shows up in the app as being $.36/kWh now, but I don’t now exactly when it was implemented.

The Rivian app shows the cost in the "See Details" tab at .36 per kwh and .50 per minute for idling after 10 min

Thanks for the info. That is about on par with EA (with the membership).
