Yes, updates are usually sequential and need the previous version installed
No that’s incorrect. It’s not always sequential and you may be able to skip updates.

pretty sure thats not true. it may depend update to update, but you dont always need to install the previous version to get the latest. i skipped 42 and just got notified to update to 46 without having to do 42.

Has anyone had issues with the driver seat and wheel settings not being remembered/saved since the last update or two back? Mine never remembers the setting and I think that started recently. Currently on .42.01
Yup! Seat memory is wonky at times. Sometimes it has me driving like a gansta since it didn’t restore after entry/exit mode.

I don’t think any update has bricked a truck.
Ok, bad choice of words….but a bunch of people lost reasonable use of their truck for a day or more when they quickly installed the last update and it killed their screens…I still need my truck to be reliable more than I need the latest update immediately

I've also been struggling with this. I've reset the infotainment a couple times thinking that may help. I recently read that if you press essentially ANY buttons prior to the restored seat/wheel settings after getting in, that it cancels the action. Since knowing this, I've consciously gotten in the truck and waited for the seat/wheel to go back to the saved position before touching anything and this seems to have solved the problem! Just something to be aware of. I wonder in hindsight if I've been cancelling the action at times by being impatient.

We just received the notice to download .46.0. We have not downloaded .42.1. How does that work?

What is the estimated update time? If serial updates are required as some are saying, and they are bundled together, I would expect your update time to be 2x what we have been seeing, like 120 - 150 minutes?

I've wondered about this too. Some updates have different estimated times than others, which wouldn't make sense if it overwrites everything every time. But last time I skipped past an update, the estimated time for my install was no different, which wouldn't make sense if they install sequentially.

I used to get these updates almost immediately upon their roll out, including the infamous 2023.42 update that bricked the infotainment. I have yet to receive this one, though.

I'm being offered 46 even though I'm still on 38. Estimated update time is quoted as 55 min so I take that as being able to skip ahead. I'm still going to take my time and let some of y'all update first.

I am currently on Version 2023.38.0. I am now being offered 2023.46.0. The estimated time shown for the update is 55 minutes.

I plan to hold off for a day or two to see how this thing goes. I am unclear as to weather I will be getting 2023.42.1 features included in this update.

I saw one person (another.46 thread) noticing issues with the tailgate latch post update, anyone else?
I am having problems with my liftgate. After each update, it unlatches but it does not open. I had to do a software reboot to make it work. Even when it is working, its really sensitive. If it senses the least bit of "resistance" (like your finger still on the button) it will not open.

It is possible that they have recently modified the deployments. The behavior you are seeing certainly is different from what I saw earlier this year.

Back in April my R1S was in the shop because the February update failed, they fixed the hardware module failing and tried to push the April update (saw the activity on my App) and it failed, they had to reapply the February update, then the March update, and finally the April update.

In July my R1S was in service for a suspension leak. I had a loaner R1T that was 3 updates behind. While I had it I applied the updates, they were only presented in order 1 at a time.

Kinda feeling left out! Checking my router and I don't see any substantial traffic on the truck :(.

Maybe dumb question but has anyone that received the update shared the release notes.
I'm hoping it fixes the random quirkiness I've seen since last update... Camp speaker randomly chimes as if connecting to bluetooth, frequent loss of media thumbnails, loss of audio (returned after UI reset, charge port door activation acting strange.
