Cost me $780.53 for two batteries.

The SC in Tempe, AZ just quoted me $900 to replace two batteries. I also asked them, just three or four months ago (before I crossed 36k miles), whether my batteries might be needing to be replaced - they told me that there was no indication at that time.

Fullriver Battery says this battery will work. The physical size looks correct, the posts are internally threaded, and in the right position (red on left, black on right, when nearest the observer). Plus, it's rated at 20Ah.

Edit: note that the "L" in FT230L is probably what designates the terminal is on the correct side for use in a Rivian. Be sure to specify that, if you buy one of these. This version is not the standard version which is more commonly available.

Nice. However how does one do the reset off a computer(Rivian does this in the service center when changing the 12 volt battery or two 12 volts if early 2023 and 2022) to clear codes/battery icon?

Ride menu seemed to work for me (although someone else said it didn't work for him). I can't say for certain that it worked - I haven't yet replaced my battery, so the red battery icon came back after awhile. Until I have a good battery in there, I won't know for sure. I am using a trickle charger with desulphation to try to get me by until I can replace the bad battery.

I have asked for a quote from C&D Technologies - I'll see whether they will sell to me. If not, I might be buying the Fullriver battery.

A battery tender would seem to extend 12 volt battery life. I watched a video off YouTube talking about the cycling of the 12 volt system. Parked; R1T 12 vt system he monitored showed the truck waking up every 6-8 hours as the truck drew down power on the 12 volt batteries. This on/off is why 12 volts die at 2-3 years. Truck plugged in still cycles

I just hooked it up to the driver's side battery. By all accounts, that is the one that fails - the other one should last much longer.

They referred me to a distributor who told me that they only sold those batteries by the pallet (and they are out of stock, anyway). The distributor didn't bother quoting a price for a pallet of batteries, however many that would have been.
