I scheduled an alignment at the SLC service center and they added on two warranty items: replacing the 12 v battery, and a tightening of all hub to knuckle fasteners.

I have not had any issues with either so I’m very happy they are being proactive. Anyone else get this added under warranty? R1T 022xxx

Lots of folks have experienced sudden 12V failure. My guess is they discovered your battery was about to die and replaced it preemptively.

The hub to knuckle issue is also somewhat common. Lots of folks reporting grinding noises and the bolts attaching the hub and knuckle assemblies on front axle had come all the way loose and ground themselves to nubs. I would triple check with the service center if they were simply checking your torque on those bolts or if they diagnosed your hubs as being affected.

They added 12V replacement to my appointment next month, but not the hub knuckle. However, they may check it as part of 7,500 maintenance (since I said it might need tire rotation by time of appointment). 24XXXX June ‘23 build.

I also had both of these proactively added to a service appointment back in October.

Yes to both on the '23 R1S. In our case, they did both via mobile service

I had my 7500 mile tire rotation and inspecion last month. They also performed:

Perform FSAM-1507
Cause:
-
Correction/Remedy:
- Tighten all hub to knuckle fasteners
Parts: Quantity: Price:
BOLT - M10X1_5X50 HX FL WSHR LOCK SPCL
CL10_9 R105G
Part# SC00006346-B
4 $0.00

It seems they are proactively adressing this. I did not ask for it and I have had no issues. There was no charge. I do not know if they tighed or replaced all or some bolts.

They did not replace my 12v. I do check it periodically in the ride menu and the voltage has remained above 13.

I'm proactively scheduling all my tire rotations ahead of time from now on with my SC, after Rivian techs found a leaking CV boot, while doing the rotation, when I took my R1T (13,xxx) in during October for Battery replacements.

Whatever they find is still covered under warranty, and could prevent a breakdown on the road.
It's also harder for me to spot leaks in the rainy winter time since my truck always stay outside.

Yes, the Mobil truck with the Rivian tech did both at my home on 12/17/2024. I did not initiate this service, it was a proactive move on Rivians part.

Same story here.

I brought my R1T to the SC to have some panel gaps addressed, and the PTC installed. Rivian added the FSAM-1507 service bulletin (hub knuckle) to the work order and while the truck was at the SC, also replaced the six-month old 12v battery - the truck was delivered in June - as preventative measure.

As I posted in a different thread, I'm grateful that Rivian was pro-active, but if the OEM 12v battery really is good for only six months, I sincerely hope they change suppliers ASAP.

I was told it was a date range that was most affected and I was in it . Vin 22xxx ‘23 R1T.

My R1T is a 2024, with a VIN of 32###, so maybe the issue was fairly widespread?
