Love that Rivian finally made the route overview setting sticky in this latest Google Maps update!

yes it uses cameras. I know because kids spray painted a 30mph sign to make it read 80mph near me. The Riv says 80mph every time.

And the Google images aren't nearly as good as the previous ones. Google matches images from different seasons and lighting. It's weird when one side of my road is summer and the other winter.

Does anyone who has the update know if it has Google Maps "incidents"?
Will it show police or objects on the road? Are you able to report them and tap "still there"/"not there"?

It does sometimes show the traffic incident icon, but that’s the only one I’ve see. It does not have the ability to report incidents.

I was exstatic to see my accessory rear tail light would no longer trigger disabling much of Driver+ and other features.

However, after each drive, it seems to revert back to "Trailer 3". I reset it to "Accessory" and it will work as designed until I park it again.

Has anyone else seen this?

I just got a call from Rivian. Apparently this is known and expected behavior as the software (as written today) cannot tell the difference between a bike rack and a trailer.

The non C+ user penalty is strong with this one. I received the last update fairly quickly, this time nada so far. But I'll just have to be patient!!

I just got the update today and do not see a reporting button. My Hummer has that with Google. In the Hummer, you only see incidents/police reported if you are actively navigating. It does have the "still there/not there" feature as well. I will try that in the Rivian tomorrow since I have a long drive to do. I also have Waze installed in the Hummer and it reports even when not navigating.

I just got the update and feel that it is an upgrade but still not anywhere they need to be. Still no voice control, etc., etc. I have an EVPlay on order and am hopeful that'll be the solution. I have an R1T. If were an SUV guy I probably would be bailing out on Rivian since there are quite a few compelling EV SUV choices.

I tried searching, but I have yet to find anyone report back if the new map software reports red light camera's, speed traps, etc?
