Me too. Sounds like bad bushings or loose hardware when driving on bumpy roads. I haven’t found anything loose when inspecting so I attributed it to being able to hear it more clearly without any engine noise in the way.

I started thinking it is lack of engine noise, but I don't anymore. I have a Rubicon Wrangler and at idle it makes virtually no noise. I can bounce that thing over speed bumps and all kinds of road imperfections as well as off road rocks, etc...and not a peep from that suspension. I even tried putting in neutral...went over speed bumps and silent. Not the R1T. Sounds like a loose ball joint, mount, etc....

Has anyone actually had success having this fixed?

I also had a Wrangler (392XR, not exactly quiet), but zero noise or clatter over the same rough roads. Conversely our 100k+ mile Chrysler Pacifica DOES need some top end suspension work and sounds and feels exactly like the R1T. The big difference is that it’s 6 years old and doesn’t have only 500 miles on it…

I would go with this,, but some people swear theirs are silent. So that means some have something going on that others don't, and in the desire to have one that doesn't, it sure would be nice if Rivian would figure this out and do a customer satisfaction thing on these.

I am in complete agreement with you…I’m just taking it a day at a time…if it gets real bad it will be easier for them to agree there is an issue. Luckily we have a long warranty.

I agree. I just wish at least one of us who have raised it as an issue, would get more than "normal" as a service center response.

I’m shocked when I hear reviews of people calling this a quiet ride. I’m getting a loaner tomorrow so I’ll see how that compares.
Mine’s not too bad but it’s definitely not some mind blowingly smooth and silent ride like some reviews would lead you to think. I’ve definitely had better in other vehicles.

I can't think of too many vehicles I have had, that had a thumping/knocking noise in suspension. Maybe this tread will get some attention at Rivian and they will stop just saying "normal".

I have heard some weird noises over bumps and thought maybe it's something to do with the hydraulic swaybars

Anyone notice more noise in Conserve/FWD vs All Purpose/AWD?
