Service tech did a ride along to listen for suspension noises and interior squeaks. He definetely heard some but I'm afraid I couldn't replicate the suspension noise enough on this drive. Damn, Bellevue's streets are much smoother than Seattle. Tech tried to tell me these trucks have trophy truck suspensions so they will make noise. Had to drive on road turtles to get any noise. Not confident anything will change. My Driver+ alignment error I was getting prior to the .47 update was due to a software glitch and related to the rear tire camber. Driver+ supposedly uses the rear tires for tracking.
For how busy this service center is supposed to be you would never know it. Place was so peaceful with no visible activity. I was the only customer the whole time before and after ride a long.
Told me the truck would just sit for 3-4 days before any work starts. Wouldn't it have been better to tell me to drop off Thursday or Friday instead of Rivian paying for a rental? Said they need vehicle for atleast 2 weeks. They hope to replace my rental with a R1T by end of week so I can participate in the ECRC offroad event. This SC covers all of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and parts of Norcal.
They had no new info on new Seattle SC. Mentioned one possibly in Redmond. And confirmed the current Bellevue one will become EDV specific.
I dropped mine off at Bellevue service center this morning as well. Just as you say, it was very quiet and peaceful. I was lucky enough to get a service loaner.

I have a week old R1T with a noisy front end. It sounds like a 1992 Ford Explorer. The best words I can use is rattles and squeeks. Does anyone have a video they can share to see if we are all talking about the same issue. Here is a link to my video. It's hard to capture the noise on the phone but you'll get the idea.

Pretty much what mine does. When I see people post about quiet trucks it really frustrates/boggles my mind. My loaner is worse than my truck.

How many miles you have on it? If it wasn't noted early on that there was an alignment issue, they are just assuming it has gone out of alignment from normal driving, I imagine, hence the charge.
They should assume it was likely out of alignment when delivered, since they must see how many thry have to align in field so early in miles....

I'd love to see a social media post from RJ saying it has a trophy truck suspension, and as such popping, thumping, and thunking are to be expected and are normal. Not just service techs punting on 4th down....

I just have to echo what has been said in this thread - my truck has a noisy front end. Very disappointing and frustrating. I noticed it on day one at less than 100 miles, and I’ve had the SC look at it twice with the same statement: “it’s normal”.

I test drove another R1T and it was more or less the same, but I did not notice it on a quick drive I did in a R1S. Probably not a T vs S thing, but more about inconsistency in assembly / parts quality, perhaps.

As I have spent a bit more time in the loaner R1T, I am finding that 1. I think this truck is actually louder than my truck, and 2. it really depends on the roads I drive. On relatively smooth roads, this thing is great. I mean, really, really great. On Cracked, in need of repair, neglected Boston / Massachusetts roads, you hear and feel it. No one else in the cabin really notices much except over really rough pavement, but I certainly do.

I am starting to wonder if all trucks are this loud, but some folks just live in the ares with really great roads or are hard of hearing...

Just reading through this thread, on bumpy roads mine has a sort of metallic clank from the suspension. I'm almost always driving because so I can't tell if it's front or back or driver/passenger side. Also, I'm far too uneducated on suspensions to tell if it's control arms, struts, bushings etc..

I was on the passenger side the other day, and the driver made a near emergency stop. There was a distinct series of 3-4 pops as it stopped. These pops were much different than the above mentioned "clanks".

I think the clanks are worse in conserve than all-purpose. Also, I could be wrong, but I think it's worse in soft ride than stiff. Occasionally on a bad road, I have to switch the suspension to firm just to cut down on the noise level.

I'm interested in hearing if anyone finds a solution for the pops or the clanks!

I just drove my wife's '23 Volvo XC90 and realized how quiet it is. Nobody can convince me that it's normal for a modern, new truck to sound like my R1T. I had a friend in it earlier today and I was embarassed when he commented on the sound coming from the front end.

SoCal roads are smooth and it seems this is a SoCal truck, so maybe those of us in freezing half of country are just misapplying the trucks.

I definitely think my loaner is louder.

I dropped mine off at 8am and asked for one. While there are no reservations, I did have CS note on my account that I don’t use UBER/LIFT and don’t drive ICE. Not sure if any if that helped as they had an Enterprise rental tagged, but then one loaner became available. ?

It’s a nice 2022 FG R1T with 1600 miles on the odo. FG was my first choice, when purchasing, but I ended up getting the LA Silver.

I had those same service request notes except for the uber credit one since it didn't occur to me.
