I’d ask the SC how we “Keep the world adventurous forever” if the Rivian needs to be plugged in? This sounds ludicrous.

But is it? This post isn't the first post - my a longshot - of a Rivian owner having their 12 volt die from phantom drain.I'm sorry that you're having an issue with your vehicle but surely you have to recognize this is an outlier circumstance and not universal to all R1 vehicles?
I was just at the service center and they reiterated what the Rivian Support line said - I still might be responsible for the cost of the repair even though the HV battery didn't die if there is a non warranty -able part which didn't make any sense to me.I don't think you're interpreting what the service center said correctly.
They said you might be responsible for the associated cost for this repair and car rental if they show that you allowed the main battery to die completely.
But, this isn't what happened and the logs will show this.
What happened was the 12VDC battery died and that had nothing to with leaving it unplugged as the main battery always had enough power.
This means that they'll cover the cost of the repair, and the car rental.
I wouldn't worry about it beyond the obvious fact that they still have 12VDC battery issues.

You could also check the charge history in the Rivian app, it should show up there even if plugged in for for just a few minutes each day.same. my truck was at the SC for almost two weeks, never plugged in. they charged it just before i picked up. i know because i was checking my app multiple times a day and the battery was slowly depleting 1-2% a day until just before i picked up.
Right. Also - going out on camping trips. I don't expect you are going to plug in somewhere in the middle of the woods.Oh man, sorry to hear about your problems. I hope they can permanently rectify it for you soon.
Apparently parking at the airport is too adventurous for even our adventure vehicles?![]()
I could see that if it was under 20% or so.I was just at the service center and they reiterated what the Rivian Support line said - I still might be responsible for the cost of the repair even though the HV battery didn't die if there is a non warranty -able part which didn't make any sense to me.
Customer is always wrong mentality. I hope they can eradicate that type of mentality by at least some of the people at some of the service centers.I could see that if it was under 20% or so.
But, 44% is perfectly reasonable state of charge to be at.
Don’t do it?? WTF??that shit makes no sense at all. i'll be pissed if this is not under warranty. I did call customer service about 2 months ago regarding leave the vehicle at airport for 10 days. They adviced me not to do it. Didn't say much else though
