That's a bit of a straw man. No one that I've seen is advocating for "any feature that any other..."By this logic, Rivian should be expected to retrofit any feature that any other sport/adventure vehicle delivers that Rivian is missing. That’s a ridiculous expectation. What vehicle manufacturer has done that, EVER?
Such a first world hardship that you have two EVs and are “forced” into making a decision about a use case.
I think it's entirely reasonable to ask for something that is common across the majority of vehicles in the market segment. A unique advantage of EVs is the enormous battery required for normal operation. If the battery is already there, why not provide a 30 or 50 amp circuit that is pretty much the standard at campsites used by RVs and trailers...
The inverters aren't super cheap, but if a $500 portable battery can do it then it should be straightforward to add it to an EV (as do the other EV truck manufacturers)
