My recent experience with the scheduling... It was in the 20s overnight, and 32 at 9AM. DM 2023 R1T with large pack.
At 9AM this morning I decided to leave at 9:45AM, and set the schedule for 76 degrees, and to use the charger to assist. Started preconditioning right away. Got in the truck at 9:50AM and it was nice and toasty. Battery was at 51 degrees. Motors were at 80 degrees. No regen limits, no 10 minute efficiency hit. A great feature.
This seems to work as advertised. It will be in the teens later this week when I have to travel and you can bet I will be scheduling my departure!
I do most of my charging at L1. That charging never kept the battery warm enough to allow full regen.
