I have a noise/vibration coming from somewhere in the headliner on the passenger side. Had the truck in for service a few weeks ago and they said they fixed a clip. Seemed better for a few days but now it's back. Fine on smooth roads but as soon as the road gets uneven or bumpy, it's there. Drives me insane, I'd rather have someone chewing loudly sitting next to me.

My R1S has a lot of noise and vibration harness. I do think I hear some squeak and rattle in the actual suspension, but your post made me go on the outside and explore. I found an assortment of things that are making lots of noise and vibrations, which sounds like what I'm hearing inside the cabin while driving.

Having said that, I do not know how to begin trying to remedy. I have a service appt for a number of finish, trim and a paint repair I discovered at delivery. I just submitted another service ticket with these videos to have them look at when the car is in for repair. Hopefully they can resolve, otherwise I'll need to find a solution or get another car

Taking mine in for that under panel rattle you have in first video. I imagine the clips just aren’t snug enough. You ever get that fixed?

I got most resolved. General rattles and vibrations are still there, but not as extreme. The latest software also helped a lot with handling and comfort over bumps. It should continue to get better over time. I’ll tackle the panels myself once I have the time.

Since this one came back to life...just for record...I still have what I would call more thumping/knocking comming from the front driver side suspension or subframe or whatever it is. Mostly on larger impacts type bumps. Went it for it and came back unaddressed by service center once now. Plan to pursue more at some point.

Tom - I feel like your work on this over such a long period is worth Rivian paying attention to. Have you reached out to Tony or RJ directly to give them your experience (good and bad) and let them know about what you were able to address? I would think most of your items could be easily addressed on the assembly line and save the service teams a lot of trouble long-term.

That is ludicrous. Normal seat rattle. Sometimes they don't even seem to try...annoying with how many of us have to make major trips to have them look at this stuff just to push it back as "normal". No respect for customers time...sorry for rant...but this stuff gets under my skin....

Have you reached out to Tony or RJ directly to give them your experience (good and bad) and let them know about what you were able to address? I would think most of your items could be easily addressed on the assembly line and save the service teams a lot of trouble long-term.

I have a rattle on passenger side when driving alone. it sounds like thin metal or plastic that rattles longer than everything else when going over bumps with the two passenger wheels.

I have a new rattle. When I got over a bump I hear something right behind my left ear. Kind of sounds like a bad speaker but the sound persists when sound is off. I think it’s coming from the seat belt apparatus. Feels like something is loose or the seatbelt is rubbing against something. Anybody have something similar?

Press around on the grille of the speaker that is there. Mine makes a noise like you describe over bumps, and that led me to poke at it.
I couldn’t reliably reproduce it when in for service, so it’s on the to-do list for next time.

Good to know. Thank you. I have a Nicole service slot tomorrow but this wasn’t on original ticket so I’m not sure they’ll address it.

I haven’t seen this one yet, so:
Anyone else have a rattle from the large grille on the dash that butts up near the windshield?

It sounds almost like a rattle from behind the driver-side display screen, usually brought on by bumps, potholes or poor road surface. But it can be stopped by pressing down on that grille.

I have a feeling I’m going to want to run some wires (and maybe dynamat) up there, so if anyone knows the correct way to remove the panel, wisdom is welcome

It’s not that. The passenger seat belt sounds a lot fuller than the sound i am having. If i hold the seat belt away from the inside pillar it still happens.
