I got the same noise. I can get it to happen driving any speed just by getting on and off the accelerator. Making the front of the truck porpoise. My service appt is in Dec

I have driven a few more miles since the jounce line replacement (last week) and am happy to report that I do not hear the chirp/squeak from the suspension at this time.

Now, intermittent rattles are for another time…

That's great to hear! It clearly seems like this is the fix.

When you say "intermittent rattles" are you talking about suspension rattles, or interior dash/door stuff?

Interior dash/door stuff (I should have been clear).

Ah yes, the never ending stuff, it seams. If I can get the suspension issues worked out, I might take the truck into an audio shop and get dynamat installed all up in the dash and doors. Get some pros to really seal it all up tight. They quoted me about $150 per door. Might be worth it...

Had my jounce lines replaced. Much quieter.

I'm not sure if anything else was touched, but the truck is noticeable more solid feeling.

This truck will have suspension noise. The loaner R1T had many of the same sounds.

So, you still have the periodic rocks in a coffee can come from the suspension?

My jounce lines were replaced late last month, approximately 700 miles on them now. There is definitely a solid improvement but in my case has not completely eliminated the squeak. I consider the noise that remains very minor now though compared to the obnoxious tock. I now have my 5th attempt to fix it spanning over nearly 2 years scheduled for next month. I love the potential of this truck but stuff like this is beginning to drive me crazy.

There is something incorrectly designed in the suspension that will just go down as a quirk in these trucks.

Has anyone reported the noise in Gen2? Is this a Gen 1 issue only?

I took a quick video of my suspension noise the other day. It's atrocious. You can hear 3 distinct sounds:
1. Jounce line squeak we've been discussing
2. The infamous "tock" (2 loud clicks about 1/3rd into the video)
3. Rattle sound from the front suspension, possible half-shaft play?

I'd curious about anyone's thoughts on the 3rd sound. It's LOUD on bumpy/washboard roads. You have to ignore the squeaking and listen for a lower-tone rattling sound.

The rattle/knock is just how Rivian made it. With my next lease I'll definitely require this to be improved or I'll go in another direction. Rivian will get this solved. The jounce lines were solved, we need this fixed too.

EDIT: I will pursue the new damper part. Yes, there is a new part for that and apparently it fixes it.

Front Damper Module -LH
Part# PT00437091-D
1 $0.00
Front Damper Module-RH
Part# PT00437092-D

These are the upgraded noise makers. I struck out on my first attempt getting them.

thanks for doing this, but I only hear 2 & 3, not 1 - still curious what that sounds like.

Here’s what my squeaky suspension sounds like. It’s definitely the typical squeak that replacing the jounce lines should hopefully fix!
